“As a company that values diversity and inclusion, we are proud to have sponsored and participated in both the Indianapolis, IN and Columbus, OH pride parades this past summer. The energy and excitement of the parades were truly inspiring, and we were thrilled to see so many of our Care Team members join us in celebrating by participating in the parade walks. Between the 2 Pride Parades, there were close to a total of 900,000 individuals in attendance.

Our participation in these events sends a powerful message of support to not only our diverse population of our Care Team, but also our residents. We believe that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. By participating in these parades, we are demonstrating our commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

But our involvement in these events goes beyond just showing support. We also see it as an opportunity to raise awareness about the unique challenges that LGBTQ+ seniors face. Many older adults who identify as LGBTQ+ may have experienced discrimination and marginalization throughout their lives, and may still face these challenges as they age. By participating in these parades, we are helping to raise awareness about these issues and advocating for change, while educating our communities that we are diverse and inclusive and a safe space for the aging LGBTQ+ population and workforce.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in these parades and helped make them such a success! We are so proud to have been a part of these incredible events, and we look forward to continuing to support in the future.  In addition to participating in pride festivities, the Majestic Care DEI committee supports the organization in identifying engagement opportunities for our Care Team members, branding in our communities, as well as education through our training systems and DEI experts in the community. “
