With 13 years in healthcare, Jami Shuman, the Executive Director at Majestic Care of Clyde has dedicated her career to creating a positive, unified environment for both her residents and Care Team members. Her story began as an STNA in 2012, and she has since earned an A.A.S. in Physical Therapy, a B.S. in Allied Health, and an M.S. in Gerontology with a focus on Long-Term Care Administration.
Jami’s passion for long-term care grew over time. Initially uncertain about working with this population , she quickly developed an appreciation for their stories, relationships, and experiences. “As I worked with this population, I grew to appreciate the lives they have lived,” she shares. This connection inspired her to lead with compassion and advocate for both her residents and Care Team.
Even in the face of challenges, Jami stays motivated by focusing on the well-being of her team and residents. “They deserve the best version of myself and the best quality of care I can help create,” she says. Her leadership is driven by a commitment to building a strong culture of teamwork and support. The most rewarding part of her role? Seeing the positive changes that she and her team implement to enhance collaboration and ensure the highest standard of care.
