“It was excellent! Therapy helped me far exceed my personal goals and return home!” – Pam McKinney
Pam McKinney admitted to Majestic Care of Sheridan for rehabilitation after experiencing a hip fracture. Following her fracture, Pam was wheelchair bound, unable to ambulate, and required maximum assistance with self-care tasks. Pam was motivated and determined to return home, but she knew it would not be easy. Pam consulted with her nurses, therapists and husband about the skills and equipment she would need to return home safely. Throughout her stay, she worked hard in physical therapy and occupational therapy to regain her strength and independence. A home evaluation was completed with Pam, her husband and her occupational therapist to assure her safety upon her return home. Once the evaluation was completed and necessary equipment was in place, Pam continued to work with therapy to maximize her independence. After achieving her personal and therapy goals, Pam discharged home with her husband able to complete her functional mobility with a walker and her daily activities with supervision. Congratulations, Pam!

Joe became a resident at Majestic Care of Sheridan in 2017. Recently, Joe was noted to have stiffness, decreased range of motion and decreased strength in his left lower extremity, which made functional transfers and wheelchair mobility around the facility very difficult. Majestic Care of Sheridan and Reliant Rehabilitation initially worked with Joe 5 days a week to increase the range of motion and strength in his left leg.
Joe has worked hard with physical therapy. He has achieved maximum range of motion and strength in his left leg, resulting in increased standing tolerance and balance, making functional transfers safer and wheelchair mobility easier. Joe enjoys being able to move around the facility independently in his wheelchair again. He is currently working with physical therapy 2 days a week to maintain the function he has gained. Great job, Joe!

Cheryl McKinney calls Majestic Care of Avon home. She transferred to us from another facility to be closer to friends and family. At her previous facility, she was wheelchair bound, unable to ambulate with walker, unable to complete ADLs without extensive services and somewhat bed bound.
Within the first few days of arrival at Majestic Care of Avon, Cheryl was evaluated by Reliant Rehabilitation’s Physical Therapy Department to improve strength, mobility and decrease overall level of care. She was very motivated in improving her current condition and becoming mobile again. Physical Therapy’s main goal was to improve Cheryl’s quality of life by making her stronger in every way possible.
