What has ‘empowered’ you to become a social worker?: Since I was a child all I have ever wanted to do was help people. My mother took care of my grandmother my whole childhood and witnessing that type of caring compassion empowered me to pursue a career in helping others.
As we celebrate Social Work Month, what message or advice would you like to share with the community about the importance of social work in long-term care?: Social workers are essential. We are advocates for our residents who deserve a proper voice in the final chapters of their lives.
