Joyce admitted to Majestic care of Fort Wayne after sustaining a fall at home resulting in a wrist, hip and pelvic fracture. Upon admission, Joyce was non weight bearing and demonstrated limited use of her wrist and right leg while also experiencing increased pain from her fractures. Joyce required moderate assistance with her dressing, bathing, grooming and transfers. Nursing care team members were able to manage her pain which allowed therapy to maximize her time in rehab. Joyce participated in Physical and Occupational therapy daily to rehab back home with family and friends. Joyce completed a home visit where she was able to demonstrate good safety awareness and ability to maneuver through out her home. Joyce discharged home with limited need for assistance from a walker and independent with all daily tasks! Great job, Joyce!
