Majestic Care

RESIDENT SPOTLIGHT – New Haven – Ruth

July 31, 2019

Ruth Avery has chosen to call Majestic Care New Haven home, and we are happy she did. She was referred to Occupational Therapy as she experienced a decline in all areas of self-care.  Ruth also required maximum assistance to complete self-feeding.

Majestic Care New Haven and Reliant Rehabilitation provided Occupational Therapy for Ruth and she was able to increase overall strength and activity tolerance.  Additional goals were added to include self-care such as dressing and toileting.

Ruth was able to increase overall functional performance through provision of skilled services addressing underlying conditions and deficits.  Ruth is now able to self-mobilize a manual wheelchair for short distances from her room to the dining room and activities of her interest.

The increase in her mobility has helped her have the confidence to get around and enjoy extra time socializing with her friends in the salon.

Thank you for joining us Ruth!

Congratulations to Victoria Collier, RNA as she celebrates 20 years of service this month at our Majestic Care of Columbus community!

“I love taking care of all of my Residents, they are like family. I have been through eight takeovers and I feel this one is the ticket because Majestic Care has shown that they care about their staff as well as their residents.”
