“It was excellent! Therapy helped me far exceed my personal goals and return home!” – Pam McKinney
Pam McKinney admitted to Majestic Care of Sheridan for rehabilitation after experiencing a hip fracture. Following her fracture, Pam was wheelchair bound, unable to ambulate, and required maximum assistance with self-care tasks. Pam was motivated and determined to return home, but she knew it would not be easy. Pam consulted with her nurses, therapists and husband about the skills and equipment she would need to return home safely. Throughout her stay, she worked hard in physical therapy and occupational therapy to regain her strength and independence. A home evaluation was completed with Pam, her husband and her occupational therapist to assure her safety upon her return home. Once the evaluation was completed and necessary equipment was in place, Pam continued to work with therapy to maximize her independence. After achieving her personal and therapy goals, Pam discharged home with her husband able to complete her functional mobility with a walker and her daily activities with supervision. Congratulations, Pam!
