What has empowered you to become a social worker?: Initially the position was offered to me, as someone else saw the gift in me and I fell in love. Just providing physical care was not enough.
As we celebrate Social Work Month, what message or advice would you like to share with the community about the importance of social work in long-term care?: Being able to serve others in an area that is so essential, especially with the different diagnosis is great. It is satisfying when your community expresses their appreciation and satisfaction. It is rewarding knowing the impact you are making on so many individuals.
