Majestic Care of Battle Creek is thrilled to recognize resident Ollie Mae Felix’s Success Story!
Mrs. Felix came to Majestic Care of Battle Creek on February 18, 2022. Transitioning to a skilled care community made Mrs. Felix a little nervous, but with the help of her loving family and our compassionate Care Team, Ollie quickly made herself comfortable in her new space. Our Care Team members were immediately fond of Ollie and her sweet-tempered conviction. Even when it was hard for her to speak, she radiated a determined spirit. Loving family, a dedicated Care Team, and her own will carried Mrs. Felix to her goal of rehabilitation and has now returned home independently. We are so proud of the strides Ollie has made, and honored to be part of her success story!
Ollie’s daughter-in-law, Carol Walker, had this to say about Ollie’s journey:
“After surviving a miracle stay at Ascension Borgess hospital in Kalamazoo, Ollie Mae Felix was blessed to find Majestic Care of Battle Creek. Ollie Mae was unable to take care of herself before coming to Majestic Care. The purpose for her coming was to get her rehabilitated so she could care for herself and go back home. After just over a month, she has thrived. With the help of Majestic Care’s physical, occupational and speech therapist, she eats on her own, she is able to swallow and talk, and she gets around great with her walker. Everyone our family has come in contact with has been more than helpful and caring. We thank them for all they’ve done because she is going home.”
