Majestic Care of Jefferson Pointe is excited to share resident Stephen Brittain’s Success Story!
Stephen was admitted to Majestic Care of Jefferson Pointe for rehab after being involved in a car accident. Stephen sustained multiple fractures from the accident, requiring total assistance for his activities of daily living. He was unable to stand or walk and required a Hoyer lift for transfers. Stephen struggled with pain from the fractures that made participating in therapy difficult at times, but Stephen worked diligently with physical and occupational therapy.
He was able to transition from using a Hoyer lift, to a slide board, to stand and pivot transfers, and eventually was able to start transferring independently and walk with a cane! When Stephen discharged back home, he was able to walk up to 300 feet and go up and down stairs. Congratulations to Stephen and his Care Team on their success!
