Ms. Holly came to Majestic Care of Flushing for short‑term rehabilitation after experiencing a very severe stroke. When she arrived, she required complete assistance with mobility and her activities of daily living. Despite the challenges she faced, Ms. Holly approached her recovery with determination and a remarkable spirit.
She fully engaged in her therapy program and especially enjoyed the electrical stimulation treatments that were incorporated into her rehabilitation plan. Thanks to her dedication and the support of our therapy and care teams, Ms. Holly made tremendous progress. One accomplishment she is especially proud of is her ability to lift her arm again—something she was unable to do when she first arrived.
With her strength and independence greatly improved, Ms. Holly successfully returned to her apartment with the continued support of community agencies.
