During this holiday season, we are looking forward to the distribution of the COVID vaccine and what it means for our residents and Care Team. We asked Care Team member, Jared Hiner to share his story.
“My oldest daughter is special needs and is considered high-risk. My wife was pregnant with our son from March through October of this year and was also considered high-risk.
We sacrificed so much, personally, throughout this pandemic to ensure our home was safe. My daughter went virtual for school immediately and my wife spent her entire pregnancy in quarantine. I felt that it was a no-brainer to get vaccinated as soon as possible so that I limit the chances of bringing this virus into our home.
Our family has followed all the guidelines and precautions even when it cost us mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. If this vaccine can give us a little bit of hope, a little bit of light at the end of this seemingly unending tunnel, then it was worth it. “
